What it does

Dictate anywhere and record audio locally.

    Dictate at your cursor

    Press a shortcut in any app and speak. tyto pastes the transcript right where you are typing.

    Recordings and Audio Vault

    Record your microphone, system audio, or both. Play back audio and search transcripts locally.

  3. 03

    On-device models and CLI

    Download speech models in Settings, or control tyto from scripts and Raycast with the tyto CLI.

Install

  1. Open the DMG and drag tyto to Applications.
  2. On first launch, open System Settings → Privacy & Security and click Open Anyway (Apple guide).
  3. In Settings → Models, download a speech model and grant Microphone and Accessibility permissions.
